Description: In this activity you will work in a team to gain experience related to aircraft control. You will use a flight simulator to explore and gain the basic skills required to safely and accurately pilot an aircraft during takeoff, level flight, and landing. All team members are required to complete all activity-specified missions individually. Conclusion Questions: 1. I made errors with taxing to far to either side of the runway and I came to the runway with to much speed during landing. 2.In order to fix the errors I should take my time and make sure I go through all of the steps to proper flying. Description: In this activity you will become an air traffic controller and coordinate a group of aircraft to fly along a route safely. Air Traffic Controllers are a crucial part of a complex system intent on making flying safe. ATC decisions account for many variables, including aircraft performance, airport capacity, and weather. Conclusion Questions: 1. Aircraft speed, route and weather are all variables that need to be considered. ATC can control the route and suggested speed of an aircraft. 2. ATC can be improved by self guiding aircraft and faster response systems. |
